Tallahassee Music Week

About Tallahasssee Music Week

Tallahassee Music Week is a nine-day celebration of music diversity and the Capital City's rich musical talent. From a virtuoso string quartet in a coffee shop, to a jazz ensemble performing at an open air concert downtown, to a high school student piano recital in a grocery store, TMW will feature dozens of performances by local artists. Most events are free and open to the public.
The series of performances will kick off on Saturday, April 1st at a Kick-off concert in front of City Hall, continue over the next several days in various locations throughout Tallahassee and will pass the baton to the Word of South Festival at Cascades Park on April 8th and 9th.
Tallahassee Music Week's organizers plan to make this exciting festival an annual celebration where we promote the rich musical talent within our own community, increase public appreciation for music of all forms and showcase Tallahassee’s arts and culture to strengthen the local economy – all while listening to some great music. Tallahassee Music Week is a Knight Creative Communities Institute initiative.
